A single picture? Here's mine from my avatar buck

7 minutes after my feeder went off into my first hunt, the season ended

... Missed opening weekend to be with my mother and brother upon hearing of my brothers cancer news and had a couple of fishng events that kept me out until late October. I thought I hit kind of low and started tracking. 30ish yards into the track around a clump of cedars with good blood I looked up and saw this..

What a great sight it was. And he died 10 yards from the road in as a bonus..

Can’t believe I forgot this one. Last hunt with my brother we lost in Jan 2022. It’s just his face in the pic (on left with Yeti cup)but he’s smiling and having a good time even though he got the news he was to meet with an oncologists on the drive from his house to the field and didn’t tell anybody. … never on the drive down would we believe he wouldn’t be with us 4 months later. One final super SoTx dove hunt for us with him, our family and friends. We’ve been doing it on this place from 1978 to 2021….with a few years off in between. Glad he had one last good one …

So a little story being my two favorite pictures which is of my boys, we were stationed in Virginia and had 13 acres with the house we rented. Our first Thanksgiving evening, my oldest shot his first and only deer (6pt) from the kitchen window. Fast fwd to exactly 1yr later to the day and my youngest shoots his first and only deer from the same kitchen window. Both deer were shot with my great grandfathers deer rifle he gave me. On the left is my personal best rifle and the right is my personal best bow.
