Well guys and gals, we made it to the ranch and got our sign put up it looks great thanks to my son and his wife for the beautiful Christmas present. So we decided to get out and do a little hunting. My wife’s stand is only a hundred yards away from the house so she walks to it. Yesterday evening I had gotten out of my stand a little early to come back to camp to start dinner. I arrived at the house and just walked in when I heard a shot come from her area.
So I gave it a couple of minutes before I headed to go pick her up. I came around the corner and she was outside of the blind and said I shot a really nice Axis buck. So we talked about it for a couple of minutes and decided to go look for it.
Went to where she said she shot it at looked around for blood and we were not finding anything, after about 20 minutes my wife says I found him. There was no blood anywhere and he only ran about 40 yards and was piled. Up. What a beautiful animal and a very happy wife. 34” right beam and 33 1/2” left beam, it is in velvet and will be going on the wall.
