    Muzzle loader stock refinishing

I decided to try and refinish the stock on my Hawkins rifle. I found this onlineand really liked that look. I used leather dye and a customized paint brushto make the stripes then stained it with antique maple colored staini still have to apply varnish and I'll post another picture after I finish it. I think it turned out ok but if I was to do it again I'd use black dye for the stripes and a darker stain to try and get it closer to the colors in the picture I used as a reference. What do y'all think?

Got the varnish on it and all the brass back on. now I've decided I'm going to strip the bluing off of the barrel and brown it, something like this

Finally got it all back together, the barrel is darker than I wanted it but I'm happy with it. I still need to brown the sight and the piece under the barrel that holds the ramrod, I forgot all about them until I started putting it back together
