They know when season opens! I've been in Estes Park and in the RMNP around there and the elk will be all over town and in the golf courses, folks yards and I've hunted just a few miles out of town on Twin Sisters... about a week before season opens, they will start to disappear, and they will be right back to wild and stealthy... It is amazing to watch it happen!!
