    Local doe

Finally snagged a pic last night. I've seen her a few times before but always while moving quickly and never able to really confirm shes different. Thought it was neat

              That's awesome.

I have a few does that have identifying marks, a split ear, or floppy/lazy ears etc, they all get a pass.

It's cool watching them year to year raise young versus your run of the mill doe.

We had melanistic 8 pointer at the feeder we didn't consider shooting it. We like seeing them.

I’m sure you know this as I have seen several Hays/Comal county threads from you…
There are 4 counties in Central Tx that have the highest concentration in the county of melanistic deer

Only one I ever saw was at Buda when I was a kid.

My daughter lives in Kingsbury and we see them quit a bit. Have only seen one buck in 7 years.

Hays County has a pretty large population of Melanistic deer.

                              Local doe

Had 3 bucks, a doe and yearling on my Hays county lease.

They got a pass every time I saw em
