I feed Purina Pro Plan Focus. Growing up we fed our dogs Ol' Roy and table scraps and sometimes they'd eat a squirrel or rabbit they caught. They were fine dogs. I can imagine my dad or grandpa getting to a cash register and being charged $50 for a bag of dog food. Pretty sure a 50# bag of Ol' Roy was about $5.99. We're just spoiling the next generation of Democrat Dogs.

How much is it a bag?
We tried black diamond and ol’ Roy when we had about 40-50 bird dogs in the kennel
I don’t need bulk food anymore
My wife says that the stuff she buys is way too expensive ( $1 per pound) it’s just dog food and a personal preference
And I think the main ingredient in Walmart food is Chicken feathers and corn meal
And beef byproduct
On our working Labrador she got alpo canned horse meat and a cup of kibble on double hunt daysLast edited by S-3 Ranch; 11-05-2020, 06:06 PM.

Top 3 brands of food out there are Hill’s Science Diet, Royal Canin, and Purina Pro Plan.
The pet food industry is a very tricky, poorly regulated business and a lot of these companies label their foods with words such as “holistic” and such which mean nothing except make the owner feel better about themselves.
Strongly recommend any of you guys feeding Blue Buffalo or Taste of the Wild to stop as soon as you are able and switch their food to one of the above stated.

Not taking a shot at you at all. Quality and cheap mean nothing. If you had a carrier and tried the stuff, you'd love it!! God love bird dog people!!
