    Another Great Hunting Adventure........

Today the temps were 39 and slight NNE breeze at 4:45 as my brother and I slid through the front pasture towards the hard wood bottom where we hunt. Once inside we sprayed down with Red Arrow Scents Pay Dirt and rolled to our seperate stands to wait on the eastern sky to be kissed with sunlight announcing the start of another day. As the woods came alive with sounds, sights, and smells, I hear the crunching of leaves. My Recurve was already in my hands, and micro sling draped over my bow hand as I grip the riser and wait to see what is coming to this 6 trail intersection I am nestled in. Grunts, squeals, and popping tusks split the air as the first of 2 sounders of hogs filter into my shooting arena. My brother starts texting me letting me know that 180 yards away he is covered up in more hogs. I pick out a russian cross sow and wait for her to give me the opportunity at a good shot. The wind starts swirling from me to the hogs but Pay Dirt has me covered 🙂. Hogs were everywhere, running, grunting, snorting, squealing, constanly moving when finally the sow I want seperates herself and gives me a beautiful 31 yard slightly quartering away shot. I pick my spot and the string glides out of my fingers and pushes the Lumenok into a green laser beam on the back of a Black Eagle Arrows Vintage trad arrow with a 175 grn Solid Broadhead dangerous game that blows through a rib, one lung and cuts the bottom of the heart before smashing an offside rib and sticking into the opposite creekbank side. The sow spun around to run and it looked like a blood fountain as she stumbled down the side and expiring right next to the log we took pics on. Once the excitement was over, I realized that my brother had texted and called, he too had a hog down. Blessed to start filling the freezer again. Thanks to God for the opportunity, thanks to my brother for taking pics, thanks to my wife for the support. #broadheadbarnstyle #teambroadheadbarn #recurvedaze #texastradteam #kuiunation #conquermore #redarrowscents #tradlife
