Different strokes for different folks. Priorities are different for everybody

Turkey first for me.. opening weekend is usually our best weekend plus everybody is at camp. Lease money is due that weekend and the lease boss needs to be there. That’s the way we do it. For myself, I pay too much money for lease fees, fuel, feed, time etc to miss an opener and especially the one turkey opener each year. It’s my third favorite only to the two dove openers …. Successful or not. The chase and battle is as big as the kill.

And Todd Glass is throwing a Crawfish /BBQ Riot this weekend here in DFW and we’re cooking for 150+ folks. He had to bribe me to miss the second weekend of season. [emoji41]

Those are my priorities … doesn’t make them right for you. Just me. Just like yours are right for you. Unfortunately Bownanza drew the short straw this year. The plan was Todd and I were going to try to make the 20th until the date was set…..unfortunately. Hopefully next year it won’t be on the north or south zone turkey opener.
