    Bed Cover recommendation

Buying a newer pickup and looking at putting a bed cover on it. I've never had one and want to get some ideas. Looking at the flip up covers and not interested in the roll up styles or the full bed, one-piece covers.

Then you have decided what you want. A flip cover. No input needed

Same here on the Bakflip. It probably won’t last 10 years though. We only hold onto a vehicle for 3 years max, so far so good.

I have Lomax. It’s great completely dry.

Has anyone tried the peragon covers? That’s what I’m looking at now

Mine was 100%. I only had it for about a year though before I sold that truck.

My dad runs the bakflip and I picked up a 10 year old Extang Solid fold. The Extang keeps things much drier than the bakflip.

Additionally the Extang fits on top of the bed rails so you don’t have clearance issues with tall coolers.

Finally, the fact that you are supposed to open the cover, shut the tail gate, and the. Shut the cover is quite annoying. Therefore I am a complete believer in the Extang.

It is ok. When I first had it, it would leak minimally at the tailgate.

Now ~2 years later, that rubber has warped some where it overlaps the tailgate and quite a bit of water gets in. Not bad, but you don’t want anything back there sitting on the bed floor that you don’t want wet.

It does better while running the road than just sitting.
