I had been wondering that as well. There was no external injury visible and no appearance or odor of infection inside it. The buzzards got to have that one single front shoulder just to be safe though. I kept the rest.

Thank you JimmyHouston! I have no idea but it seemed to be worse than it was 1-2 weeks before as I watched out of bow range 2-3 separate hunts. Tough being a wild animal
