These are awesome and I have considered getting one but I don't think they are legal in the national forests?

I would suggest checking with the Ranger District office where you hunt but it appears e-bikes are now legal on National Forest.

Yes they are, as of two years ago.

They still are illegal in Wilderness area's.

I honestly didn't know they were ever illegal.
