Ernest,we bought a 54 inch Spartan 2.5 years ago after running Dixie Choppers for nearly 20 years. We have been happy with it. Bought at Mowers/Tractors right here by the house.

Commercial grade Scag. Tiger cat, Cheetah, Turf Tiger. There's a reason why most lawn companies run them. They hold up the best and have the easiest parts availability. I've been pleased with my Scag Tiger Cat. My next mower will be a 61" Cheetah.

Hustler Super Z would be my second choice.

Zero Complaints on my Bad Boy ZT Elite. Owned it for four years this month. Most of the mowers mentioned above are overkill IMO for your light residential use.

I have a 48 inch Hustler SD Raptor. I have been happy with it except for ride comfort. I am 6’ tall and at farthest back seat setting I still feel a little cramped. Not that big a deal but really the only negative I’ve had with it in about 4 years.
