    Cold weather Audad!

My dad and I have been on the same lease for 7 years now, and only twice in that 7 years have we had pictures of Audad on trail camera, one of them being last week and they were only passing through so after going stir crazy in this house for a couple days I decided to head to the lease for an evening hike, I set out at the top of our pasture and got the wind right for a stalk and I only made it about half a mile before I came on 3 young rams! I managed to finally get within 60 yards of them with the howling wind and thick mesquite and the biggest one finally gave me a shot opportunity! Talk about a surprise, I was picturing a cold boring walk and now I'm dragging this guy back to the truck and sweating my butt off because I left the atv at home. My son has also really been wanting one but I made him stay at home because I thought he would get too cold so needless to say he's not real happy with me right now. I've heard several people saying they don't taste good but he's skinned and hanging so ill be finding out for myself in a few days might even have some audad heart fajitas tomorrow.

Aoudad taste fine, if you smother in spices, as not to taste the goat.

                Cold weather Audad!

I think they’re delicious. I’ve made adobo red chili, stew, and sausage with them. Key is low and slow. Treat every cut like a roast and they’re really good.

                Congrats on the kill!
