Yeah, looked at Crossbreed, like their stuff.
A purchase soon to be had is a shoulder type holster. Might look there.

Having an issue finding a holster that holds my 1911U firm without slipping out.

Got one coming next week from a fellow TBHer, might do the trick

Not saying that I carry, but if I did I would probably have gone through many holsters. I would have settled on revolver, probably with 3" barrel. I might have finally gotten a concealed carry vest, such as ROTHCO, and settled on an old leather paddle holster that I might have modified for crossdraw.

Lots of choices for holsters. We all end up with a box full eventually. First choice should be a sturdy belt. It can at times make a so so holster a decent one. A great holster and flimsy belt is not very comfortable. Just my .02 from someone who has carried a firearm daily for about 28 years.

Love this for a Glock 17.
It stays out of the way.

I actually have 5 Crossbreed holsters. Really like the Founders series in horsehide.
I have several Blackhawks for owb use, 2 Blackhawk serpas set up on leg rigs, a fobus, an IWI shoulder holster and a couple from Versacarry.
Heres a few.

I just picked up a crossbreed reckoning that will let you use inside or outside. Haven’t played with it yet, but my previous IWB works well and tuckable. Overall comfortable but need to break leather backer in some. They also have a seconds webpage where they sell stuff at a considerable discount.

I regularly carry my Sig P365 XL in my Alien Gear Cloak Belt Holster (OWB). Easily the most comfortable one that I've ever used. It rides high & tight to the body, so that no one knows that I am carrying. I've even carried my CZ P-09 in it with the same results.

It's so comfortable that I honestly forget that I'm carrying sometimes.

I'm old school & prefer traditional leather OWB in horse hide...all my holsters are made by Kramer.

Most are Made to order & are a little pricey.

My CCW is a SW shield. First holster was a Sticky. It never felt secure enough to me.

My favorite is a Crossbreed IWB appendix carry. Love the position even when riding in a vehicle.

All of mine ride IWB in DM Bullard holsters and I wear a DM Bullard belt. Made in Texas.

Been wearing the Versacarry everyday with my Glock. Like it so far, except I dont want to CC with my Glock.

Just learned today that the “Size 2” of the Versacarry holsters are for 1911s. I missed that in translation while looking at their website.

Pretty sure a shoulder holster is in my near future.

Thanx for yalls comments. Very helpful.

Wore the VersaCarry all day today. Very comfortable, hit over 200 golfballs while wearing it. So far so good.

Galco Holsters are very nice and keep it tight while doing work or climbing trees

Received another Versacarry from a fellow TBHer and it fits and holds my 1911 perfect! Will try that for a couple of weeks. If I dont like it, then a shoulder holster is my next try.

Thanx Calvin

my personal opinion , i have over 2 dozen holsters and one brand beats them all !

made in Texas too ... it's called the Garrett silent thunder... kydex on the outside , thin layer of smooth leather on the inside ...

no clicking , no rub mark on pistol , adjustable retention ...

the best analogy i can explain is like beaching a boat on a sandy beach.. glides effortlessly, then comes to a smooth but abrupt stop and holds tight ... then pulling out take a little initial force , then glides out like butter ...

they are not cheap ,almost $100, but in my opinion they are the very best... i sometimes carry a hk p7 and there is absolutely no wear marks from this holster, and for those familiar, it's a heavy gun, and i don't even hardly feel it on.

there are way cheaper options and that's why i have other brands, i can't afford to only have Garretts ... but it's bar none the best fitting holster i have.

I have multiple holsters for multiple situations. I have to be completely concealed at work, so I carry a smaller pistol (hellcat) with an IWB Kydex. Outside of work I carry a XDME with an OWB kydex for comfort. I found that carrying the bigger gun IWB is a little less comfortable, but a lot tougher to fully conceal. Outside of work I don't care if my shirt rides up or I have an imprint. I'm chunky, and an appendix rig is always uncomfortable to me.
