I like Tikka but you asked for future suppressor compatibility and under $1000. All threaded Tikkas list for over $1000 now. If threaded barrel is not a priority then regualr Tikka Tx3 with swfa 6x fixed can be had together for just under $1000 you would have to add $80 for some good rings. If I was buying for someone else I would get it in .308. Would be plently of gun for elk 400 and under.
