2021 Bass Fishing Thread

I hope to add to this thread this year.

Picked up a boat from my childhood. My dads old 1998 Alweld 1442 with a 25 hp Yamaha 2 stroke. Plan on cleaning her up, repaint, build out casting deck and add some electronics and trolling motor. Going to take a little bit to get it going though.

I got out on Rayburn today. With the high water levels, the fish that are usually my guarantees were not so much. The bass were scattered to say the least. I found a few decent ones, but it was work and a lot of running around. I didn’t even think to take any pictures this time.

Caught a good one at Aquila Sunday. I didn’t want to keep out of the water any longer than I had getting hook out and couldn’t find the scale but thinking it was prob 7#+, my big self and meat hooks didn’t do it justice. Was my personal best that I have boated.

Just saw this nice fish from my stomping grounds.

Yes sir. You will have to zoom in on pic. Lol. I was getting close enough for a better pic. I seen one on Friday that made me exit the area quietly. He was as big as the Yak.
