I used to have a Ruger M77 in .244 and it was deadly on yotes and small stuff. Not so good for hogs and deer. I always considered it a heavy varmint gun as I used it mostly on P-dogs since it handled wind better than my 22-250. Shot the 70gr Sierra HP very good at distance.
