Got to the lease about 12:30 am last night. Plan was to hunt. Friday & Saturday am & pm with the goal of me tagging out.
Snow slowed me down. My new tires worked out ok.
Truck broke down at the gate. Thankfully it's only a 100 yd wake to camp. Got to bed after 1. Alarm went off @ 6. Rolled over and went back to sleep. It was Cold. We got up about 8. We got truck to camp ate breakfast, than went to town to get parts. Got back to camp and replaced shifter cable we finish up about 3:30. I get to tires @ 4. At 4:10 I see 3 for crossing south end of oats @ 400 yds. The run across to the other side. I watch them then disappear into the trees. Looks up and have a doe trotting directly towards me. I put the Thermal down grab the .308. She stops @ 58 yds and pop get in the chest. She drops.
So I'm in the blind for 15 minutes and have a doe down.
