    Montgomery county war horse

My buddy killed a old warrior tonight. He has some history with this deer and i was pumped to hear the text come in this evening that he had arrowed him AGAIN...
We've had pictures of this deer starting in 2015.
2020 season rolls around and my buddy is hunting this deer hard. Spends hours in the stand trying to see him much less get a shot off. One afternoon in late november he gets his shot broadside 20 yrds and he blows it. He still doesn't know what happened. He shot the deer in the neck. Deer disappears for a few weeks and we think the worst, but finally he shows back up on cameras mostly at night.
2021 season on the horizon and we start feeding and running cameras, old man is no where to be seen. We were all assuming the tough winter along with the wound from being shot thru the neck took its toll on him and he wouldn't be seen again. October 11th he showed himself for the first time since last december and the hunt was on. My buddy waited for things to be just right to slip in and give this deer a warriors death. He slid in early afternoon and set up for what ended up being a pretty short hunt. He text me a bit before 6pm " I JUST SMOKED HIM" i climbed in my truck and was on my way. We waited a little over an hour and took up track. Deer was piled up 40 yrds from where he ran the arrow thru him. Congrats again amigo.

Trail cam pic is first pic in 2015.

very nice buck. Most people would be surprised at the massive bucks that are running around in the neighborhoods off of Walden Road. they get old and the genetics are just good enough.
