New Rescue Dog - Battle for the King Thorne

My wife just picked up a new rescue dog. It's a male puppy. In my home, it's my wife, myself, I have 2 daughters, 6 and 2, and a girl dog that's about 11 years old. The new rescue dog is a male, little puppy. He won't try to hump any of the girls or the dog, but he wants to hump me. Is this one of those classic cases of Going for the throne? Is this a hump it til it pees deal? Any thoughts??

Research pack dominance and do everything alpha dogs do. I had problems with my rescue blood hound and we have gotten it worked out. They were bad problems too. Guy had a real attitude problem.
