    HVAC question.

I am moving into another house during the work week. It has central heat and air but the heat runs on gas. Electric is hooked up but can’t get the gas turned on yet. Tried to turn the AC on. Runs but doesn’t cool. Here is the dumb question of the day. Does the gas need to be connected for the AC to run, or is that just for heat? Thanks.

    Bud.

No gas needed for AC - make sure your condenser outside is responding / if it’s not you possibly could have a breaker off to it. Or it may need repaired

      Just for heat.

If the inside fan runs but outside condenser isnt running…likely a capacitor needs changing. Very very common issue.
