The blind is awesome. You have a lot of windows and your going to have a problem with rain, especially a blowing rain. My bow blind had 3 deerview windows and I was very happy for some time till a storm hit. The front 1/3 of my bind interior was wet for a month. When I got them I thought I was water/weather proofing my blind but any water that hits that glass runs straight down and will get past that furry seal around the windows and soak your wall, floor, carpet ect. I solved my water problems with the dv deluxe model windows.

Unfortunately I already had the openings framed before I realized they carried the deluxe model. I donít have a good picture but I did use the rain handlers from Home Depot above the windows. I put a drip ledge flashing that the window closes on top of that will help kick the water out. Iíve done this on my other stands and it helps a lot. I get very little water inside during a hard rain. Hereís the best pic I have.

One of the better stands I have seen in awhile. I'd definitely buy one if your ever want to make another! Very nice...hope your dad lays out a biggun out of it.

Awesome!

How do you like the deer view hinge windows ? And door? Is that the deluxe door?
I have not seen one with a window.

Why did you make the two windows in the middle like that? As opposed to one?

I like the the hinge windows, but I want to try out the deluxe hinged windows. That is the deluxe door. The two windows in front is to bow hunt through. Or you can leave the bottom one up and shoot your rifle off it with a sand bag.

Got it. I haven’t seen them set up like that before usually just vertical mounted windows for bows. Makes sense.

On the deluxe hinged windows they mount different so the window cut outs have to be different. I think the depth is up to 2 inches.

I like the ones you used and the framing of the windows. Easier to shoot from I think.
I think the rain guard will solve any problems.

You could always add bigger extensions. I’d thought about plywood extensions for shade and rain guards.

Thanks for sharing

Awesome work! I hope my dad doesn’t see this because you built a whole lot better blind for your dad, than I did for mine this year.
