As a new bow hunter, started last year, my techniques are always changing when it comes to scent control.
For once my girlfriend walked in the house and said that it smelt great in here! The wild sage smells great! She usually laughs at me,

Cool, I noticed today that all the sage were blooming purple flowers.

I do it with cedar in my plastic tote. Switch up the branches each time I go out

I put cedar limbs in with my clothes in an old ice chest. Works really well

i do it with my hunting clothes, only i use a rubber lined canvas zipper bag. i put cedar/mesquite branches in a pillow case and tie the end up just in case there is bugs on the branches.
