Hey guys! Headed home early to watch the texans game. Did several small projects. But took a break last night and we sat outside and watched the stars. Beautiful sky. I'll post some pics later.

KCA Ranch. A Work in Progress.

Mamma got her new deck set up.



Installed a dusk to dawn security light. I'm no electrician but managed to not kill myself.







Solar lights installed along our main gate.





Tried to dove hunt. Got one bird but my catahoula shredded it. She is not a retriever.



Mamma did her project for the month.



Solar light mounted on the cabin porch. Sucker is bright!





Got the burn barrel going for trash that I don't want to haul.

Good stuff. We got out another 1000 lbs of corn and checked cameras. Apparently the deer I've been waiting for has a jacked up g2 this year. Not real happy,

Nice weekend on the projects, no sense in killing yourself every time you go up there. Always a fan of pics from Leon county and the KCA Ranch.

Finally got a shooter on camera. Had two pics of him. One morning and one night. Can't tell if he's a 7 or what but he's pretty.





Got a few at the lease 5 miles away.









Projects have been put on hold for hunting season but hope to ramp it back up soon.

3rd buck looks old

I was stuck at the house this weekend but dad said they moved good all week. Saw a dandy and tried to get my boy on him. Old deer faster and smarter than an 11 year old

I sat sat. morning and evening and didn't see one deer. None on the roads either where I always see deer. Not sure if they are locked down with the rut or just eating acorns. Got more rain last night. Hopefully acorns will be gone soon.
