Default What is it about Boats?

I have had boats all my life. I can not get them out of my blood.
I like to fish but I love to boat ride.

With life I have not had my boat out in over a year. I got it running took it out Monday evening with the family. Now all i can think about is getting it back into the water.

Heck I have just convinced one of my customers that our meeting this afternoon should be on the water. It wasn't hard but more self serving than anything.

They say money cant buy happiness. But,It can buy horsepower which is a suitable substitute. Ive never seen anyone hauling a## in a boat that didn't have a big smile.

I have a fetish for keeping gas stations, marine mechanics and fiberglass shops in business! Catching fish is just an added bonus.

You've evidently never fished Rayburn with a 30 mph north wind in 35 deg weather in the rain. I can smile now looking back on those days but at the time it was brutal.

The joys of owning and driving a boat are hard to beat.

After a decade working in healthcare, I came back to the marine industry. I love being on the water!

I had a job interview on a sailboat, once. The guy loved racing his sailboat and asked if I was OK meeting him at the marina and we would go for a ride while he interviewed me. I got that job!

Agree.. have had boats my entire life.... I can only equate to motorcycle guys. Something about being on the water, cruising around on the lake, drinking coffee, breeze in face, spray of water, etc.

Yep I love mine. Hurricane Fun Deck 226. As of late my son been wanting to bass fish but it’s hard off that big boat. So I think I’ve got momma on board with buy good used small bass boat, just something to start him into bass fishing.

Fished a tournament last weekend and this weekend will take the kids tubing to kind of finish out their summer break. Anytime on the water is amazing. I pray I continue to make enough money throughout my life to continue to own a nice boat.

I spend more time on a boat than a vehicle. Just got off the water and got to work at 10a today so that is 8 hours today. Fished at the coast for the last 3 days. Work the next 4. This week alone I will have about 70 hrs logged on the water and guess what. I am not tired of it. Sometimes my back tells me different but I just push through it.

My little aluminum boat gets me far enough away from the masses to get a little peace and quiet. Catching fish and killing ducks don't hurt either

Just tell him your checking on how some concrete cured!! The ramps concrete and you probably drive under a bridge!! I named my boat "a meeting". So when people call I tell them I'm in a meeting!!! Tried the office first, but people would come look for me there and I wasn't around!!!

My AC buddy calls his boat "a job". So when people call he tells them he's on a job!!!
