The fastest man in the US right now....and the first high schooler to ever break the 10.00 mark....is a 18yr old senior in high school at Strake Jesuit in Houston. He ran a 9.98 100M at his regionals this weekend. Might be worth a trip to the state track meet just to watch this cat run.

I first heard about him about a month ago...just that some fast kid at Strake was blowing people away. Then this weekend he goes and runs 9.98. He's been big news since. The kid that came in 2nd ran a 10.27. How would you like to run a 10.27 in high school and come in second in your region?

Second fastest on the nation if a Texas Tech sophomore has anything to say about it. Absolutely smoking though.

Last week Oduduru ran 9.94 then went less than an hour later and ran 19.76 in the 200m (second fastest ever by collegiate athlete)

Being white in Houston, you are either fast, one bad MoFo, or you learn to take a beating. He learned to be fast.

A friend of mine has been posting one video after another of this kid, I was kind of surprised how well he did in the races, I have seen. I did not realize he was as fast as he is. I don't know crap about track, I don't know if fast is a 3 second 100m or if 18 seconds is fast in the 100m. All I knew, was ever video I have seen of him, he was about the only white kind and always a ways out front.
