Holy chit I drew Elk!

I drew my first choice on my first time to apply.

Second rifle Elk unit 36, Ruidoso.

Not sure what to say or think at this point. Applied late on a whim and ended up solo as my hunting partner had application issues. He will really be bummed when he hears this.

Finally figured it out. Unit 37 first season. If anyone has some good info to share, please do. I hunted this unit 6 years for mule deer, but never public land.

Well looks like ill be in the mountains but im the Guide not the hunter.
Unsuccessful for me but at least ill be there to hear the Bugles and see one on the dirt.
