Crock pot recipe ideas for an all day sit.

Today my wife made a delicious crock pot lasagna so that when we got home from church, we had plenty to eat with little prep. That got me to thinking, on my out of state hunt where I plan to hunt all day, what are some other crock pot recipe ideas that I could start early in the morning before I head out so that when I pull in that evening it's waiting and ready to be eaten?

I'm a fan of Mississippi pot roast.
Chuck roast, one stick of unsalted butter, packet of ranch seasoning, packet of aus jus and a jar of pepperocinis.

Check out the ribeye thread. Some of those methods would work great in a crockpot

2nd the Mississippi pot roast but take along sub rolls and some provolone cheese to make sandwiches out of the roast.

Pretty much any crock pot recipe would be good. A few of my favorites are below:

                  1. Pork Carnitas Tacos
                  2. Mississippi Pot Roast
                  3. Stew
                  4. Chicken and Dumplings

You could also pre make and freeze the meals, and just heat em up on low for the day.

Crock Pot Country Style Pork Ribs

I made this recipe last night and it was pretty good.

Crock Pot Country Style Pork Ribs are delicious boneless pork ribs that are slow cooked and flavorful, and are fall off the fork tender.

One day back in 2016 (in my single days) my neighbors were having a shrimp boil and I wasn't invited. So decided I was going to make one myself in a crock pot and it turned out great.

                            Meatloaf.

Cut up potatoes and line the bottom of the pot. Add cut up onions. Place meatloaf on top. Cook for 4 hours.

                            Pro Tip:
Set up your crock pot with a light timer to turn on and off when you need it.
