Spent a month in BC, Canada for work, and eagles were a daily sighting. One day while waiting for the ferry to arrive an eagle landed on a telephone pole near where we were waiting. My buddy said “man no better way to start a day than seeing an American eagle”. One of our Canadian counterparts tried correcting him by saying “you mean bald eagle”. My buddy didn’t even flinch and responded “no ma’am, it’s American.”

We all laughed and high fived. The Canadians didn’t know what to do with us Texans.
