Family heritage project

This is something I’ve been meaning to go for a long time but always had other things to do.

Last night I went and collected a few old boards from the inside of my great great uncles old house. They have some very nice sawmill lines on them and one has a natural edge. I’m going to try and turn these all into frames and take pictures of all of the family markers and remains on the ranches to put in the frames.

I wish I would have done more to keep Mother Nature at bay when I was younger. As it’s sits now it’s already starting to fall down.

This is going to be a cool project, looking forward to seeing it completed. Just a suggestion but how about putting that pic of great great uncles old house right in the center of your pics with a note the wood frames are made from wood from the house.

We’ll it has taken some time but I think the boards coloring is just about right. I’ll finally be starting this project in the next couple weeks.

You should search the grounds with a metal detector and make a similar display of the artifacts you find.

Made some progress today. 3 of the 4 still needed to have the glass fitted and the all still need to be glued and stapled.
