For the UT guys, how did y'all like Carrington when he was down in Austin? Curious if it was all smoke and mirrors or if he was actually pretty good at the recruiting gig?

He made a big deal on social media about getting commitments that leads you to think he was the reason why but I’m not so sure. I’m sure he was a decent recruiter but he wasn’t a world beater.

He seems like Les Miles, only smarter, to me. Slimeball who hasn't got caught yet...but that's just my opinion from a long ways off. I do think he's a good coach, and if he wins quick, they will love him.

He'll get 2 years, by then Saban will retire, and lsu's dream boy Dabo will go to Bama.

It’s a solid hire, not my perfect hire but very jimbo esk hire IMO. Tenured, won a national championship, respected. Think it’s a good hire outside of about two other guys
