I don’t know man.. I know college kids don’t care how tough your coaches are, except maybe for that AF coach…he was intense. The La Tech pitcher is from New Braunfels, so maybe they have some history, no clue.

I’m a “head down and take your base” guy myself, but there’s a lot I don’t agree with about the game these days.

I think it has more to do with the strike outs, but you’d know that better than I.

He's light with the stick, but not that big of a deal for a SS if you can defend. Especially in todays game. He'll get his chance but has a bit of a reputation.

He seems to have very good control of that breaking ball now…and the fastball by the chin.

                      Coincidence, or gamesmanship?

No pitcher in the history of baseball is going to intentionally hit a guy with a breaking ball. The FB to Melendez was intentional IMO. I notice he didn't stare this time

Meanwhile, in the Station, our ace is getting slapped around on the mound. I think it’s time to go to the pen.

The steal at second was a smart move with Kaler and his limp noodle arm at short.

Oh I understand that, but I see it enough now to wonder if pitchers take liberties with it. While knowing they don’t have the feel yet, and knowing they have a built in excuse.

I don’t know, but I see it enough to wonder.

Faltine will get hit in the foot with a knuckle ball against UTEP on a Tuesday and be mad. So I understand your scouting report on him.
