    Retirement age?

What age would yall retire if you were eligilbe and financially sound?

I did at 53. I have a government pension so my ss is limited to like $230 so that played no part in my decision.

ASAP (50-65). You should be able to enjoy retirement and be active IMO. Can't believe all the post I've seen on here saying "what to do when you retire".

50, that is an attainable goal, however I am moving it to 56 that way my wife can retire at the same time.

Another 15 years will put me at 56. That’s is my goal.

That will give me 30 years with my company.

I always planned to retire at 62, but the cost of health insurance has me working till I can get medicare for my wife and I at 65.

With the current drop in my 401k, I now need to add another 5 years 😢

55 is my goal…I’ll be eligible at 52. 55 will give me 23 years in municipal retirement and 33 years total in fire/EMS.

As soon as I’m eligible and financially sound.

                        56 1/2 for me.

Or 103 if I keep all these deer leases

I am not in a profession that I have to be "eligible" and can retire as soon as I am "financially sound". That time for me is hopefully around 58-60. I'm in my prime earning years, so 11 more with agressive saving and investing goals should get me there.

After looking at this thread I feel more like an idiot than ever. I’ll probably be going until I’m 68. Big tax on making stupid decisions.
