    Austin area golf courses

My Dad is coming to town and was looking to get a round in.

Bluebonnett Hills was my favorite course, but since its closed we've gone to Shadow Glen the last frew rounds.

    Looking for other recommendations.

Played at Star Ranch and really enjoyed it. That was almost 7 years ago so not sure what shape it's in now.

Quicksand in Wimberley. No crowds, beautiful scenery and deer everywhere.

San Angelo has a course call Quicksand. I believe it had over 100 bunkers.

Wimberley course isn't that tough. No clue why it is called Quicksand.

Maybe the one in Angelo closed. I can’t imagine them both having the same name in the same state.

Thanks all. I just went ahead and pulled the triger on Shawdowglen.

Was afraid the t-times would fill up and be left out.

But I'm going to check some of these places out.

My group plays all over central Texas - we like Star and Teravista for a little easier courses and Avery or Forest Creek if you want a little more challenge

Has anyone played Vaalor Creek in Blanco? My brother wants us to go play, but was not sure if it’s worth the drive.
