    Turf Shoes/Cleats

Any difference in artificial or real grass cleats for football? I grew up always playing grass so have no idea about turf. This is for son just playing flag but on turf field. Thanks

You can check with the facility to be sure, but most modern turf is field cleat safe.

All the new grassy turf you're fine in regular cleats.

Only the old turf and some of the indoor soccer places require turf shoes.

If it's an actual football facility it will be grassy turf.

Turf shoes for turf and cleats for the dirt. I have seen some knees and ankles get tore up on the turf from cleats sticking. This is in baseball, but same thing running on turf.

The metal baseball spikes are a huge difference. Yeah they will definitely stick in turf. Football cleats won't any more.
