I think he is a rutted down 4 year old but could easily be 3. I think he is right around 195". Pretty buck

Good thing your HF. He wouldn't have made it through the season.

Another year of history. Is he 3 4 or 5 this year? I've got him around 220" yr on score.

I don't think he was run down 4 yr old last year. Just don't see anything here that screams 5. So is he 3 or 4 this year?

I think you might actually be a touch low on your score this year if he was pushing 200” last year.

I think he 4 this year.

Well he wasn't 2 last year so that takes 3 this year out of the picture. I'm leaning towards 5 but can see the argument for 4.

I know you said HF and pasture born but is this native Texas genetics?

                            I think 4. I don't see 4 last year or 5 this year.

                              Define native Texas? LOL

Over the last 8 years at various times there were other deer introduced to the ranch. They all came from TX but from breeders. These aren't 100% native Throckmorton County deer that have just been fed and managed. I will add there are some native genetics as the previous owner didn't kill all the deer here and restock. Just sprinkled in new stuff over the years.

with the updated information I can agree with that. It was impossible to think native genetics could produce a two year old that big, and still a stretch with introduced genetics. I think your safer in the long run being a year shy or dead on than a year over.
