    Morton’s chili blend

I have used Morton’s Chili Blend in my chili and other things for a long time. It is hard to find though. I bought 10 packages at Brookshires several years ago and finally ran out . I finally found that I could order some from a distributor in Abilene.

I like Blake's better, then Carol Shelbys, then Mortons.

Pendery's in Ft Worth has a couple really good ones as well.

I Tried Blake’s yesterday- it was real good. Don’t delete the zing zang from the recipe, it makes all the difference.

While tastes are subjective, I’ve tried just about all the mixes and Blake’s wins hands down.

My Nanny used to make chili for us when we were kids. This was back in the 60s and 70s and I believe it was Morton’s chili mix that she used. Just the smell of it brings back memories. Ah, Nanny’s chili…!

I'm using Blake's Free Fajita seasoning to make elk fajitas from the elk I shot last week. Expecting the. To be amazing. Planning to shoot a hog soon and make some Boudin with his brand spices too.

It's all the same. There is no secret ingredient or one special one that makes one better than the other.

Blakes is all I use now. Add my own touches to it.
You should try his fajita seasoning too
