I used to shoot the montecs. I quit using them because of horrible blood trails. Now shoot rage extreme. I hit a buck in that exact spot in 2016 and he went 450-500 yards but did die. The blade on the rage nicked the liver and he bled a tiny bit. I bet you barely touched the liver with that montec

Dang, I shotmllacement looks high and back to me. But that is crazy he’s still alive. I’ve shot pretty much every deer minus a few does with Montec G5’s and now Montec G5 CS’s. Probably 15 yrs worth of bowhunting all I’ve used are those 2 Montec’s. My 2 biggest bucks died from a Montec G5 CS. Shot placement.
