It’s Deep East, and power outages is what they do.

Are you new to the area?

Sorry you’re having to deal with that. Nothing surprising at all when that co-op loses power. Just wait til there’s a storm.

My son said the heat has been popping transformers. They had 200 to replace in the Northeast Harris County area

Oncor had about 1,200 outages this evening in Williamson County, my house was one of them. About the time I said enough and pulled the generator out to plug into panel, power came back on.

A few days ago here in San Antonio a power sub station caught fire due to the heat and high demand. If we keep loosing transformers and equipment at sub stations then we won’t have any spare parts to restore the grid if a hurricane comes ashore. This ain’t fear mongering, it’s the truth!!

I suppose replacement parts are on a ship or container somewhere . . Go figure
