My Turner seed mixes were up and they should really kick now

Have you checked your tanks for runoff ?

Unfortunately, we didn’t get much runoff. We really need to get 2+in to see a lot of runoff out there especially with how dry it’s been. Hopefully the field will be nice and green next week for our big hunt.

Can’t wait to see what this guy looks like next year!

What do you think he scores?

        High 150’s is my guess

With those curls I think he may break 160" right now.

I think he’s high 40’s to low 50’s. Heck of a native deer.

Our estimate is right around 155, but it's hard to tell. My twin brother shot a buck that scored around 157 off our place and this guy looks very similar but has a lot more mass. We are really hoping we shoot all 21 deer this fall to allow him to have more access to food and hoping we get a normal rainfall year so he can add a little more to his frame next season. Fingers crossed!

This is the first time we’ve ever seen a deer caught in a hog panel. I saw on one of our cellular game cameras this morning that a doe was hung up. I never thought that a deer could get hung up in a hog panel. I hate seeing this but I’m glad we were able to end her suffering before the coyotes got to her. Just wanted to pass this along and share that deer do in fact get hung up in hog panels. Have a good one!

My son shot his first deer today. He shot a doe early this evening and then shot this old wide 8pt.
