    1972 F250

Special because my dad ordered this one brand new in 1972 and at the time I was 1 year old
No telling how many thousand miles I made standing in the seat or standing on "the hump" peeking over the dash
Wife wants to leave paint as is (probably clear coat it) and just fix it up to run to the feed store and do other little chores

First chore is to get it home and get some tires on it
2nd chore is to drain fuel
New battery and go from there
Came with a wrecker "stinger" that had a bale spear on it at one time

I will post pics as we go

Not going to be an all out resto

I've got a 69 that's similar. I'm thinking the same. Just clear coat. Mine needs some mechanical work though. Looking forward to the pics.

Totally awesome. Another vote to clear coat it.

Clear coat and coyote-swap…and not in that order

            In for the progress!

What engine? And did someone add a second gas tank?

Your dad made you pay for that?

Great project. My dad had one around the same year that was kind of a mustard yellow. Spent many a nights coon hunting out of it.

Or did he sell it to someone else that you bought it from? Looks like a truck a banker used to drive.

                        360 I think
2nd gas tank was in it as long as I can remember, dealer add on maybe?
Switch in the floor between seat and driver's door to switch tanks

Joe from the bank bought it from dad about 25years ago and has had it all this time.
He used it for a wrecker for his side used car business and then to feed cows out of for years

360 is what was in mine. I liked that engine. It would flat haul. Mines a 3 on the tree. I had the same tank switch with saddle tanks. I'm thinking I'll remove the tank behind the seat and add one between the frame. Frees up storage. I seem to remember I could put about 50-70 gallons in all three tanks, total.
