I lost my Father years back. I would call him on my drive back from the lease to tell him I’m ok and what I saw and maybe harvest. I miss that more than anything. I was an addict for a good portion of my adult life but they the Grace of God my Dad got to see his REAL Son for a good stretch before he passed. He LOVED that I would do things he never got the chance to do. He knew it was dangerous but encouraged me to be proficient at whatever I did. My hats off to you for allowing your deer to Mature. Man that's a stud! I'm in disbelief that he's only 161. Easily looks 170-180 at first glance.
The mass is incredible.

I counted 12 seconds from shot to hitting the ground, and about half of that was the pause once he got to the brush--
