Good looking baits! I too took up making some baits on what little free time I have. It’s a learning process but super fun 👍

Nice work. Those core shot ned rigs are pretty cool looking.

Made a 1/4 ounce crankbait out of balsa wood. It has a one piece through wire for the hooks and tow eye. I also added an internal rattle on this one. Balsa is very easy to work with but it's too soft for screw in eyes, you have to make two halves and put the wire in between. I'm going to dare a redfish to tear it up.

Solid!!! Any idea on avg depth when cranking on it?

Will it float when you stop feeling? Or sink? Love those square bill crank baits for redfish.

It dives 2-3’ and it’s a floater. Tuned it and threw it yesterday and only got a rat red on it. It’s already too windy to sight fish this morning. I’ll be making a few more of these, they work pretty good.

I liked the first balsa crankbait so much I made a couple more. These cast and wobble great. Should have a red or two on em soon.

Working on a big crank bait for reds. It's 3 3/4" and will weigh about a 1/2 ounce. It'll have a loud internal rattle and dive 1-2'. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow.
