Took PoPo for a little hike and found several birds on the roost

I’m pumped up and have high expectations for the next few days.

I killed a bird Saturday afternoon with my bow. Sunday I had a great hour-long encounter with a big bird right off the roost. I couldn't see him for most of it as I was just over the hill rise from him, but he was mad gobbling and drumming like crazy. Eventually his 5 hens practically came to sit on my lap, but he skirted wide at about 35 yards. He was behind catclaw and some other brush so I never had a good clear shot at him. It was a great morning and the best and most fun encounter I’ve had this season, even though I didn’t fire a shot. It also makes twice I've had that bird and range and not got him killed yet
