Well, the blackberry wouldn't hook up after the first post so I figured I would recap the mornings events. We got to the stand and my daughter asks me to fire up the heater. I pull it out of the pack and wouldn't you know it the bottom isn't there. Everyone knows them bottles won't stand up on carpet so Dad does what Dad's do and improvised with one left hunting boot.

Now Dad's foot is getting cold so I take the blanket that she doesn't need anymore since the heater is going and try to bring my foot back from the Ice Age.

Awake and smiling. This is right before I burnt a pig in a blanket on the heater. Them things can stink for a while.

My nephew was in a tripod across the clear cut from us and took his first fork horned deer. Amazingly enough he took his first buck hunting with me about 15 years ago in Magnolia. I am starting to enjoy these firsts with my kids and nieces and nephews.
