Like I mentioned, Chris Houston is quite the angler legend herself.

In 2005 she was inducted as the first woman to be voted into the Bass Fishing Hall Of Fame.

In the late 70's, she dominated the "Bass'n Gal" circuit" for many years, winning the "Bass'n Gal" "angler of the year" title seven times. she placed in the money 19 straight times, over a period of five years, and fished every regular season "Bass'n Gal" tournament for 20 years, as well as qualifying for every classic, which she won three times.
In 1987, she was named to the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.

My dad and Jimmy used to fish the professional bass tournaments together when I was a baby and toddler. My dad was always full of bull so I never knew what to believe so as he told me stories of Jimmy baby sitting me, I thought he made if up. I always watched his shows every weekend. When I was 17 we were hosting a fishing a show and Jimmy was invited to be the MC. He walked to me and said “ Boy where’s your dad”. Starstruck I just looked at him funny and could not get a word out so he said” I know you. I changed your diapers”. I laughed so hard. The man on tv was just as funny and genuine in person.
