Do you have any investments at all?

For a DIY approach, open a brokerage account at Vanguard and Purchase VTI. Trading at $120 a share and represents the entire US market.

Yes there are some individual stocks that will offer more growth potential but there will be some companies that doesn’t survive this experience. Instead of picking some winners and losers the total stock index fund from vanguard spreads the love and still offers 7% annual historical growth.

If you don’t have a Roth IRA start there with vanguard either VTI or Target retirement fund then with left over money open a brokerage account.

If you want to get rich quick, throw all your ducks into travel airlines/cruises/casinos and hope none go bankrupt...

McDonald’s, Lowe’s, delta, AA all pretty safe long term bets.
(At least that’s what I’m told)
Now sub $5. Pretty crazy considering it was $38 within the last month

Made a couple of quick Ins and outs that didn’t amount to as much but still made me some money! It is risky no doubt but at that time I was looking for high risk and did it myself quickly once I decided to move. In 15 years total time I made 300% on what I put into it. That was inside of my 401k by the way

How did you know where the bottom was?

Not very diversified. All oil and gas. Should work out good though.

We /TBH folks ARE NOT good sources of advice on specifics for the most part---find a financial advisor and make it a habit to listen to them.

But--as the second post says "don't try to time the market"---

Look up a process called "dollar cost averaging" and believe it--it works.

If I say I’m buying in the future, short the market the next day and you are pretty much guaranteed a 10% return by close of business if not sooner. [emoji30][emoji3]

The gold silver ratio is at it's highest point ever. I don't know if I should back up the truck to buy more silver or cry over how much I already own. Probably both. Interesting times.

Betting on it to go down further.

                                Borrow shares
                                Sell them
                                Buy them later for cheaper
                                Give lender back shares
Pocket difference per share between what you sold them for and what you bought them for
