    Live Klein urban hunt

    Sort of.

I explained the situation in a post called hunt strategy.

So my brother has some acreage that borders a larger section of woods that supposedly is covered up with deer.

Long story longer... My brother while he meant well is not a hunter and while it probably wouldn't have been a problem the huntable portion is well off his land. I'm leaving the bow in the truck and just carrying a camera.

If I get any "shots" I'll post em up later.

This wouldn't happened to have been along FM 2920 or Spring Cypress would it?

Oh ok. When you said Klein I assumed Spring and those are about the only two roads I know of around here with any woods left.

You might be surprised where deer are still hinding.

Oh no doubt. I saw about 15 the other night eating in a ditch that runs perpendicular to 2920 about 1/4 mile from Walmart. And seen some on Rhodes, too. Heck, I saw a stud of a buck this time last year on Beaudreaux within feet of the Grand Parkway.

Yep, covered in it. Was watching the makings of the 2nd rut this morning.

Oh, and have you seen the exotics too?

Moved near spring cypress and stuebner in the early 60's
Lots of big deer there in those days. Really fun for a kid with my hunting passion.
Subdivisions built over most of the area now.

I know you can't/won't say the location but I am so curious where it is these deer are hiding. If you ever lose his spot please share.

No but I've heard about them. Sounds like some folks from Mexico won the lottery and bought a bunch of land on Hufsmith-Kohrville, fenced it off and stocked it with exotics.
