Stocked trout are used to eating pellets, if you can find a deer hair fly you can trim it to a pellet shape. If not size 14 mosquitos ( or brown / grey flies) a small brown hopper pattern. Or muddiler minnow work great. As many have said bright colors will at times draw strikes also.

Took my son to Castell a couple weeks ago. Tiny gold/yellow was the key. Interestingly, didn’t see anyone catching them with corn although a lot of people were around us using corn.

Take a spinning rod and get a super duper lure. Cast with a slow to very slow retrieve.
