My 16 year old son is now guiding hunts in Africa!

It's official! Braedyn cleared customs and linked up with the outfitter that he is going to be working for for the next three months in Africa as an apprentice hunting guide and is now headed on the 5 Hour drive to the concession. He is super excited to have this opportunity as he just turned 16 this week, and is touching down in Johannesburg and headed to learn his craft already! He already has elk and mule deer guiding work lined up when he gets back to Colorado this fall, and I could not be more proud of him for creating opportunities for himself to learn all he can in the hunting world!

Motshwere Safaris. We have hunted with them, and I have an article going to be published in Safari magazine about our trip. He represented himself pretty well when we were there last summer and they offered him a job.

Thanks guys. He worked his *** off while we were there last year and they offered him a job. So when we got back I told him he had to prove to me he was responsible and he needed to prove he could hold down a part-time gig while keeping his grades up this year if he wanted to take on some big boy responsibility. Not only did he get himself a little job at UPS that he worked most of the year, he also finished with all A's and one B at the end of the school year and had already lined up some guide work for himself when he gets back home this fall
